CH121 "Champagne" Melanoid Axolotl 4-5"
This listing is for the exact juvenile pictured. These melanoids have a 66% chance of being het copper and a 50% chance of being het albino. There is also a possibility one of their parents could have passed down hets for leucistic and/or axanthic, but this has not been proven.
This is an incredibly unique/one-of-a-kind clutch and both parents are very special. The father of this clutch is a melanoid that is a rich mottled brown color rather than black, and the mother is a gorgous high iridophore light wild with brown melanin as well. I call this my "Champagne Clutch" due to the color dilution that I see in the parents, and that was passed on to the offspring. I've held onto these babies longer than I usually do because they are turning out so beautiful.
**A note about my Champagne Melanoids: These melanoids could easily be mistaken for dark copper melanoids but they are not. These were identified and separated from the copper varieties early in development. Melanoids from another clutch that are their cousins also have the same traits of brown melanin rather then black/grey, and a mottled distribution of their dark pigment so I suspect this may be a heritable trait.
